Shawn has been in the hospital 23 nights. The first 18 nights were in ICU, the last 5 in a status level just below that. His condition is still being classified the same, that he’s in a coma, although the attending neurologist saw Shawn giggle at one of my jokes yesterday & was amazed. Said I should be a coma rehab specialist 🙂 hehe! Shawn has periods were he responds to family, to jokes, and to funny stories with a smile or a giggle. He raised his hand/arm today as someone was leaving his hospital room as if to say goodbye. He’s had a low grade fever the last few days which causes Shawn to be lethargic & not too engaged. We are working to find the best “subacute” program & by the grace of God he’ll be accepted and admitted soon. There are very few “subacute” facilities in the Southern California area that we feel are best for Shawn. We are leaning on the Lord to guide & direct us to the best place for Shawn’s next treatment phase. Please keep praying; for Shawn to be accepted into the best facility & for God to heal him. Thank you.
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, Lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge HIM, and HE will direct your path.”
